Auto Parts Enterprises: car dealers blindly to keep the prices down undesirable

High-tech Zone in the many high-tech enterprises in Jinan City, Shandong Lu was Tony lights Corporation is not very dramatic. But insiders know that the companies smallish strength should not be overlooked. Lu was Tony has grown into a leader in the domestic auto parts
manufacturers, truck lights, the “leader” of the industry, with annual sales revenue of over 200 million yuan. However, is such a company, when talking about the future prospects of the enterprise managers undaunted: “subject to all the chaos of the auto parts industry, companies want to continue to rise is difficult now efforts to ensure stability.
“CNHTC more than 60% of the truck lights is produced by our company, the Beiqi Auman series truck headlights 40%, Nanjing Iveco Automobile products accounted for 70%.” Of Shandong Lu was Tony headlights Co., Ltd. Vice Chairman Zhang Liangping told reporters this set of data
shows the strength of the companies, “returned to the country many car firms supporting FAW, Shaanxi Auto, Sichuan Automobile headlights industry in the province has long been a first in the country is also the first three. “

19 years ago, the identity or collective enterprises was Tony Lu single product, lack of orders, the annual sales income of more than 600 million. In Jinan mirror Factory 323 workers scrimped and saved $ 100 million launched in 1994, set up Jinan Lu was Tony headlights Company Stock Co in the city at that time one of the 16 pilot enterprises. Clear property rights, Lu was Tony rebirth sales revenue soaring. After a few years, Lu was shell one by one to receive three bankruptcy, system shutdowns. In 1998, Lu was Tony ultimate “anti-eating parent, mergers mirror Factory in Jinan, receiving all serving and retired workers, and assumed all the debt. Today, the company has annual production capacity of 5 million lights, more than 40 series over 300 varieties.

Lu was Tony able to develop so rapidly, thanks to innovation as the soul. Zhang Liangping a vivid metaphor to reporters: “a long-distance race athletes know, can not exceed your opponent on the same runway, real transcendence from the blind followers usually do not do business innovation does not necessarily win, but there is no innovation will be eliminated. “in many people’s impression of supporting enterprises is” processing “, others to the drawings upon request production line. “Lu was Tony can be not so simple, our lights, only to vehicle manufacturers to develop a new model space dimensions, assembly size.” Zhang Liangping said., From the exterior design of the headlights, the use of materials such as by the company’s own research and development, production, assembly process, and are formulating their own molds also produce their own, only the preliminary design to go through 48 processes. Lu was Tony more than 600 employees involved in product design personnel have more than 60 people, the annual R & D investment accounts for about 10% of the sales revenue. “The current the domestic the truck headlights production of enterprises, with only two independent R & D capabilities, we are one.” Zhang Liangping told reporters.
A price not quality hamper development

In recent years, the domestic heavy-duty vehicles to enter a period of rapid growth and expanding demand for auto parts, industrial development accelerated. Market, technology, good management, such as Lu was Tony enterprise ought to development is “hard gas”, Zhang
Liangping was less optimistic: “Our development goal is to ensure stability.” He told reporters, the current auto parts competition in the market is very confusing between price and quality, vehicle production enterprises pay more attention to price, to unreasonable prices down related accessories, these production accessories companies earn less money, about developing it so blindly to keep the prices down , is not conducive to the formation of the industrial chain. “

Domestic heavy duty truck production mode with foreign Zhang Liangping said foreign research and development of a new product cycle for 18-36 months, the headlights of a new model developed for a long time will not change, which allows supporting enterprises longer production cycle, there is conducive to absorb the cost of domestic enterprises set in November this year, a new model will be asked to January next year, you must produce supporting truck headlights. “Zhang Liangping example, to reporters , within such a short time, how can you produce a competitive product? “

The new product is not just a short development cycle, market sales cycle is very short. Zhang Liangping briefed reporters on the 2023 truck lights, for example, the general will change type, so the new lights in the first year to buy the higher prices, the profit will reach 20%, the cost recovery as soon as possible, to the second year of the vehicle manufacturers will ask you to keep the prices down 5% to 8%, the third year of basic not make a profit. In order to extend the life of the product, Lu was Tony had tried to exclusive supply contract signed with the vehicle manufacturers, but some manufacturers also act in accordance with the contract, but the second year in order to reduce the cost of automobile production, will be relevant parameters disclose to the other lights manufacturers allowed to produce cheaper products forced Lu too Pui price cuts, not price cuts would mean the loss of customers. Faced with this situation, Zhang Liangping reluctantly said: “in the face of our customers ‘protection of intellectual property rights’ is simply out of the question, because ‘arm twisted, but the thigh’.”

Despite the difficulties, but Lu was Tony still choose to do the industry leader, they believe that “as long as the industry-leading position, there will be more opportunities.” On December 11 last year, of Shandong Lu was Tony lights The company is mainly involved in the drafting of the “non-highway tourist car headlamp mandatory national standards officially released by the China National Standardization

Management Committee, Lu was Tony confirms own strength. “First-class enterprise standard, second-rate corporate brand, third-rate companies make products.” Phrase widely circulated, Zhang Liangping told reporters, Lu was Tony is to do this first-class enterprise.

The Count Down To The End Of The World Begins

A fool at forty they say is a fool forever. I have been on planet earth two score plus years. More than a third of these I have spent in full control of my senses and thinking faculties. I lay no claims to wisdom but I reckon I am neither a fool nor an idiot.

Life is a most serious encounter and I have lost no part of my slot to frivolities and trivialities. The only real investment I boast is that I have given my all to evaluating a world I stumbled on by special providence, and the only debt I am conscious of is the responsibility to tell the world my opinion of it, which is why I write this piece although I am not licensed to publicize my views. Peace unto as many as take no offense at me.

I have listened with keen interest to the silent but convincing arguments of nature. I have heard the ravings and ranting of mankind. I am aware of the confusion and deception of religion and the bogus assumptions of science. I know of the folly of human governance and the resulting combined impact of all of these on human society especially in the past century. I have passed my observations through my thought processing machine and have a print out of my opinion of the world-my world view as they say.

The world has about had it and it’s about time it ended. Anybody who knows anything at all knows that. There is a silent understanding and agreement among such like ones that the world is not only about to end, it has to end. If God delays to end it humans will or the world might just decide to end itself. That of course would be terrible! So, the world had better end as it should-by the hand of the one who created it.

How the world ends has been speculated about since Christ’s appearance on the earthly scene some two thousand years ago. The end of the world however is not a subject for speculation; the scriptures are explicit on what mankind needs to know on this subject. Christ however had foretold that our time-the time of the end would be characterized not only by speculations but impostors, and the scriptures are bound to be fulfilled. Understandably speculations on the world’s end and impostors are rife the world over.

Before we get carried away by speculative winds however, let this one fact not escape us: God finds no delight in destroying humans. He therefore does not stealthily visit destruction upon them. Every destruction or intended destruction of humans by God in the past was preceded by proclamations of clear warning messages of God’s impending judgment and our time is not an exception for God indeed does not change.

In the Garden of Eden God warned Adam and Eve, mankind’s forebear of the inescapable consequence for eating the forbidden fruit-they would die. God’s declaration was unambiguous. Yet the couple ignored the warning, ate the fruit and invited death not only upon themselves, but upon generations of their would-be progeny.

Later God would destroy Noah’s generation in a deluge. But before he did, he warned them well in advance. He had asked Noah, a righteous man to build an ark for the preservation of his household and other forms of life. Noah was also saddled with the responsibility to warn his generation of the impending flood. This Noah did although the construction of the ark should have served enough warning. It was a gigantic edifice. Given that it had not rained on the earth before then, it was indeed a phenomenal project for it took Noah about fifty years to complete its construction and this at a time when people were not given to such elaborate construction. Noah’s generation however scoffed at all of these in spite of the fact that divine support was evident in the execution of this assignment by Noah. Noah’s uprightness, his commitment and dedication to his assigned task and the fact that God assisted Noah in bringing into the ark the animals that were designated for preservation and safety cut no ice on that evil generation. Their destruction was thus deserved and justified.

When God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction he knew they were not deserving of a second chance. Yet he patiently allowed an interaction with Abraham in intercession for the cities. God was willing to forego his intentions if as few as ten persons were found to be deserving of life in those cities. On the other hand, God did not only save Lot the righteous one, he rescued him. When his time to destroy the cities became due and lot was still lingering in the cities, God dispatched angels who came and hustled Lot out of the cities.

The city of Nineveh was another city to incite God’s ire to the point of wanting to devote it to destruction. But although Nineveh was steeped in bloodshed and other disgusting practices, God saw through them and knew that a reprimand should precede their destruction. He sent Jonah to them but in the eyes of the prophet the people of Nineveh were unworthy of such a consideration. In his bid to abandon them to God’s adverse judgment, he fled from his prophetic assignment and attempted to escape on board a ship bound for Tarshish. God however created mishaps to thwart Jonah’s escape. He ended up in the belly of a big fish three whole days and nights until he had had a rethink. The fish would later vomit Jonah to the shore from whence he returned to his assignment. There after he preached at Nineveh and the people repented in sackcloth and ashes from king to domestic animal. God spared them and when his prophet became disgruntled, he used the occasion to teach him lessons in mercy.

When God adopted the nation of Israel, he warned them of his toleration of no rivalry. He gave them a testament to that effect-the law mediated by Moses in which he spelled the consequences of disobedience and the benefit of keeping to his ordinances. The Jews consented to the terms unanimously but they began to break God’s law even before the ink with which it was inscribed on the tablets had dried. Over time they would carry on in this manner. God repeatedly sent them prophets to remind them of their sworn covenant with him but they treated God’s prophets insolently and killed some. In his displeasure God let them intermittently to be overcome by their adversaries, a thing God forewarned would happen should they renege. The Jews however proved to be a stiff necked people. Finally God rejected them as his nation and consequently let them suffer a destruction that obliterated them as his people.

Before their final destruction the Jews were warned by two of God’s most renown prophets-John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, the messiah. John went ahead of Jesus to prepare the hearts of the Jews to receive the messiah when he arrived. But although the Jews knew John to be a prophet, they paid him little mind. Eventually Jesus appeared and in his words wanted to gather Jerusalem’s children together for God in the same way a hen gathers her chicks together under her wings. But again the Jews paid him little heed. Finally he abandoned them to the consequences of a course they chose for themselves.

In a composite prophesy Jesus told them of a tribulation that would overtake them and sack them as a nation. Jesus words would have a two-fold implication and a two-fold fulfillment. In the first instance it would affect the Jews who rejected Jesus Christ, God-sent messiah to them. In the second instance however Jesus’ pronouncement would affect the world of mankind that Jesus gave his precious blood in death to save but which would reject Jesus’ representatives in the same manner the Jews rejected and killed Jesus.

The first of these fulfillments occurred in 70 CE when the Roman army sacked Jerusalem in a bloodbath like the Jews had not known before then nor would ever know again. When however would the second fulfillment occur?

Jesus gave no dates concerning the destruction of the Jewish system of things and would give none concerning the end of this world. But there were time and season indicators in the description he gave of developments that would lead up to these never-to-occur-again events. Faithful adherents to Jesus’ words read the signs prior to the destruction of Jerusalem, heeded them and got away safe. Similarly faithful bible readers in our day may come out of the great tribulation foretold for our time if they watched for the signs and heeded the warnings and direction of Jesus Christ for our day.

As was said at the outset of this write up, God would not destroy a people let alone a generation without adequate warning. The scriptures are replete with warnings for our generation especially in the prophecies uttered by Jesus Christ. Jesus foretold for our day wars, famines, pestilences, duplicity, lovelessness, etc. The world has seen so much of these particularly in the last century. While the fulfillment of Jesus Christ’s words in these areas in such a grand scale is indicative of the nearness of the world to its foretold end, these features in Jesus prophecy sound no clear warning. Most persons without understanding have had to curse God on account of these occurrences even though God is not a causative of these things but in his foreknowledge foretells the consequences of human actions, conducts and attitudes. However prophecies foretell not just the result of human behavior but what God purposes to accomplish at a given time far ahead of human knowledge and understanding.

In Jesus’ words at Matthew 24:14 we see a prophecy that reiterates God’s unchanging desire to warn mankind on the consequences of their action and conduct with a view to preserving them alive in the face of eminent destruction. It reads: “And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.”

In fulfillment of that scripture the good news of God’s kingdom has been preached single handedly by Jehovah’s witnesses for onward of a century. The extent to which that scripture will be fulfilled however is yet to be seen in view of what these prophets of God were inspired to write concerning our time:

Micah had this to say in chapter four and verse one of the prophecy bearing his name: “And it must occur in the final part of the days that the mountain of the house of Jehovah will become firmly establish above the top of the mountains, and it will certainly be lifted up above the hills, and to it peoples must stream… “

In the same vein the prophet Haggai had this to say in chapter two verses seven of the prophecy that bears his name: “And I will rock all the nations, and the desirable things of all the nations must come in; and I will fill this house with glory, Jehovah of armies has said.”

These and more prophecies in the bible point to one thing: a people will elevate Jehovah’s worship above every human institution toward the end of the world in much the same way Moses towered over pharaoh in Egypt. That people are Jehovah’s witnesses, the last day’s representatives of God and going by what those prophecies say, they are yet to be given the recognition they deserve as prescribed by God. This is understandable in view of the fact that a great part of the world’s population is trapped in the high walls of the faiths of science, political ideologies, nationalism, bigotry and religious confusion.

The scriptures are however never null or void. The world’s stage is set for the fulfillment of all of the prophecies penned down for our time. The world cannot continue carrying on business as usual without regards or consideration for the creator’s righteous purposes. Mankind is due for a deafening reminder of its impending doom so that those who will may take heed. Yes the countdown to the end of the world has begun and www.africanteacher.com is the countdown clock.

Why “Meaning” and “Comprehension” Are Strategies For Dumbing Down

Once upon a time, a reader was someone who could say the words on a page.

Readers didn’t leave out words that were there, or add words that were not there. Nor did readers make wild guesses or weird substitutions. Lastly, real readers never read words backwards.

These bizarre actions, which very nearly equate to mental illness, were not even conceivable (except in the youngest or least intelligent students).

Of course, I’m talking about a bygone era before 1930, before Look-say was forced into the schools. This method requires children to memorize the designs or shapes of words. It’s quite a hopeless task; few students can learn to read this way. Illiteracy is a good one-word summary of what this mad method does to children.

But it isn’t the commonplace, fumbling illiteracy that we all have in a language we haven’t yet learned. No, the victims of sight-words were stunted and damaged in new ways, distinctive and spectacular ways. These children often seem confident; typically they don’t know they are making one mistake after another–adding and dropping words, saying a word that isn’t close to what is on the page, etc. But the adults listening, or following along in the same text, know that chaos and havoc are in the air.

Errors which were once unimaginable became ordinary. A public relations disaster was there for everyone to witness.

Consider the dilemma of the education officials pushing Look-say. Simply to let a child read aloud was suddenly a minefield of potential embarrassment. What to do? How could all this failure be hidden?

Here’s what apparently happened next. The so-called experts focused on finding devices that the children could use to read without actually reading. That sounds like a paradox, but bear with me. These experts began to place an extraordinary emphasis on what they called comprehension and meaning. These were made to seem reading’s true goals, not simply reading what is on the page.

Meaning, however, is something we might deduce even in a text we can’t actually read or understand. Comprehension is something you might seem to exhibit –on a multiple choice test, for example–even though you can hardly read every third word. (Seventh graders could get A’s for their comprehension, even though they read at a second-grade level.)

No one can fail to notice that meaning and comprehension have been harped on constantly, for many decades, even as literacy rates dropped, even as meaning and comprehension themselves dropped.

I believe the experts decided to take the emphasis away from what the kids couldn’t do — just read the text–and put the emphasis on what the kids could pretend to do. That is, figure out to some degree what a paragraph means.

The literacy experts came up with what might be called extra-textual techniques. For example, one major technique is guessing. A second is deducing a meaning from context or from picture clues. A third is relying on prior knowledge. All of these are lavishly praised, even as they help to conceal the depth of the real problem–the kids can’t read the words on the page.

Suppose you’ve studied a semester of French; and now you’re in Paris glancing at a sign or newspaper. You see one of the few French words you know, “rue.” Then you see “Madame Tussaud.” And you remember — prior knowledge! — that this name is associated with wax figures of famous people. At this point you are quite empowered to make a guess about the meaning of the paragraph: it’s telling you where this place is.

You can’t actually read French. But that doesn’t mean you can’t collect enough clues to make a jump into the dark. You may well find the museum.

Trying to make all these improvisations seem normal and appropriate is what our Education Establishment has been busy doing the last 60 years. This effort has resulted in a lot of jargon and verbiage. Literacy experts speak of “comprehension strategies,” “cueing systems,” the value of “using predictability as an aid to reading,” and much more of the same sort. Whole books and careers are devoted to contrived activities.

Notice what is happening. Look-say reduces American students to the level of people grappling with a foreign language. But in this case the “foreign language” just happens to be their own native language which they speak every day with flair and confidence, but can’t yet read.

Even more perverse, the whole-word people came up with a sophistry to demonize kids who actually can read. They are said to be “word-calling” or “word-barking,” not reading. This is quite sick. Learning to pronounce words correctly is a step we all go through on the way to fluent reading. Demonizing this necessary step shows the desperation of these sophists. Clearly, they are desperate that nobody should see what real reading looks like. They seem to be content that children won’t go through this step, which means that all children will remain forever illiterate. (Also remember, kids come to school having already used most of their reading words in conversation. The notion that they don’t know the meaning of words they have already spoken or heard is ridiculous.)

Traditionally, children learned to sound out (i.e., pronounce) words; and then to read them more fluently and expressively, and then to grasp more of the meaning, and finally they went on to higher-level thinking about why a woman might abandon her family or Germany had a war with France.

Whole Word stops all these developments. To summarize, meaning and comprehension are chattered about more and more, even as children can achieve them less and less. In fact, these words–meaning and comprehension–function more as cover-up than as accomplishment.

So now the whole scam becomes clear. Whatever the children can’t do is ignored and indeed hidden. Namely, they can’t read English. What they can do is magnified and presented as a glorious achievement. Namely, they can guess/deduce their way to some of a passage’s meaning. We see a relentless barrage of analysis and enthusiasm for meaning and comprehension, even though the kids can barely participate in this level of cognitive activity because, after all, they are hardly literate.

They can’t do the main thing: read the words on the page. The explanation for that is simple, the Education Establishment kicked out phonics. Then, to cover up the magnitude of the damage caused by this irresponsible decision, these faux-educators invented a sideshow, a sleight-of-hand, a bait-and-switch.

All of which is hereby designated the Comprehension Con and the Meaning Mumbo-Jumbo.

————

There’s a pervasive pattern here. Whatever the Education Establishment rhapsodizes about is doomed. Expect to see less of it. I suspect the same pattern is unfolding now in “critical thinking.”

Certainly we hear this phrase every day. Alas, few students ever become capable of critical thinking. They don’t know enough to have sophisticated discussions, because the Education Establishment downplays the teaching of basic knowledge. Even more devastating, the kids can’t read well enough to find their own knowledge. But somehow these empty-headed kids are supposed to conduct college-level debates.

In fact, “critical thinking” often seems to mean shallow musing on current events, with the goal of leading students to politically correct opinions approved by the school. This is the exact opposite of genuinely critical or independent thinking.

So there you have it. Not much reading. Not much thinking. But a hurricane of hoopla about the glories of comprehension, meaning, and critical thinking.
